Us Auto industry

I don’t know about you guys but I’m disturbed that the country that invented the car no longer can compete with foreign cars pricing. The US auto industry is suffering because of lack of innovation. The automobile has done the same thing for over 100 years. I think they need to change it. It has been a stand alone product because of its expense. Now a days they incorporate luxury controls in lower priced models. What if they offered those luxury models for the standard price? They would attract confident customers that they are getting their monies worth.
If the US automakers co-operated with National cell phone /communication companies to make a compatible standard for everything then people would get more bang for their buck. Ford has started this with its new sync option. They could make speech to text software. There could be a phone book registry on your cell phone that was fully compatible with your car. On top of that the car could serve as a GPS receiver for a program that runs on your phone or in your car. That way you would never need to synchronize everything.
Cell phone companies need to let go of their controls on phones that work on “their” networks. Hard line phone companies had that same problem when they first came out. They would rent telephones to their customers. By letting that control go there would be greater innovation of cellular technology.
Eventually National Wi-Fi internet service will be extended beyond just cites and while you are driving you could dictate emails, send IMs. The car could serve as your antenna which would increase your ability to find Wi-Fi signals.
And eventually in the future we will all have computer/robot drivers permanently. And if GM, Ford, or Chevy incorporates all this technology into driving at no extra cost they will increase there user base especially with younger drivers. Imagine having a free chauffer that knows where he is in relation to all the other cars with GPS onboard. Traffic jams would be a thing of the past.

What happens to be on my mind

I read an interesting piece on Real Clear politics. And it appears I have discovered the reason people want the “UN out of the US and Us out of the UN”. Our spending greatly outweighs any other member. To state pure numbers for some shine, we spend 4.0 % of our GDP (I think it’s needless to say that out GDP greatly outweighs all other countries.) while the average spends 2.2%. And we don’t get most of the say. And other countries can block the sanctions is ridiculous. We are giving up most of the power we would have on any other stage. It goes hand in hand with defense spending.

As for Iraq and the UN. We go it alone in Iraq because we have to. Our allies and fellow UN member’s armies have shrunk considerably. Canada which had million man army after WWII now has 62,000. And Britain the 4th largest national economy has just more than 100,000 solders. Canada and the Brits both have mostly specially trained troops. But our marine corp. is over 175,000 strong. The Downsizing of military spending in other countries is leaving us standing out. And now if there is a War we will have to support these allies that never do anything for us. It’s not that they don’t want to it’s because they can’t. We need to encourage these countries to reinstate and maintain larger standing armies. We should set the ultimatum that they have to increase there spending or else we leave the UN and that they need to move out of NYC.

In my opinion our fellow UN members are cutting these armies to make up for higher spending in their welfare state democracies. Which are poor in service and in quality? Aside from that clinging to our allies that are looking for a handout are barely allies at all. Using their pathetic forces to help maintain world stability isn’t even a reality. They don’t help us in Iraq because they can’t. They can’t do anything with their army because it is stretched thin. Their standing army numbers are too low. Their will be a day when a conflict arises among them and their enemies. But we will be “stretched too thin” in the words of Colin Powell. Not that I trust a quitter but still it must have some element of truth. I think it's time we raise standards in the UN or drop out. We deserve the space in Manhattan. If they still want it they can have it, but move it out. As a nation we should be vaguely be associated with it. It’s a big hole in which we throw money into. Also it has never produced results. It hasn’t really diverted any war or decreased the severity. When it was created it might have been slightly useful but since 1945 communications have since expanded and striped the roles these figures had. Goodbye UN!

Work... Work... Work

I’m working for the money and I don't get the chicks for free. Nothing ever seems to go smoothly here on site. There are too many complications. I shouldn't be complaining cause this week I get 1300 dollars. It isn’t bad considering I was working for 59 hours this week. Money is nice but I can’t spend it fast enough. That’s why I'm buying me a ball and chain. J/k Kimmy is very sweet.

This summer sucks because I can't spend it with my friends or Kim. It sucks that I haven't run this summer as much as I would have liked. It sucks because I am going to buy TV and it sucks that I'm going to buy a new computer and it sucks that I'm going to buy a Ring for Kimmy. I should buy a wireless mouse and key board so I can type on my new TV when I get it. At least I will enjoy the money I earn.

Working

People usually hear me talk about work as a breeze, easy, boring. Today shit hit the fan. My instruments were taking f***ing high values. Excuse my French. My equipment was supposed to be ready before the goddamn workers started. But that’s not what happened. They start so early I couldn't call the renters for technical assistance. When they opened they ended up confirming what I discovered. The OZONE warning and humidity for today elevated my values. Maybe after all this I'll get lucky and go home on time. (Never happened before). I have been going all day not its time to get back to work. OUT

Hang Gliding

I have been hang Gliding since 97. I love it. I saw Kim Friday and Saturday night. Then Sunday morning we went up to Ellenville. Good times were had. I had a 45 min flight. My father had a 40 min flight in his old Fledge. We had the perfect cycle. We both climbed out immediately. He climbe dup to 4 grand I say I was lucky if I got to 3 grand. None the less it was some much needed soaring time. Our day wasen't over when we landed because on the drive home there were two spectacular accidents. The first one was a bus that exploded by the harruman exit into a black cloud you could see it for miles on the thruway. Traffic was stopped, luckily it was on the north bound side. Then on the northern statePKwy there was a hoorible accicent where an SUV rolled several times. I imagine it was due to a blown tire. The police didn't just pull it off the road so i imagine someone died. They were diverting traffic on the northern state it was so bad. A fun filled weekend yes indeedy.
Peace OUT

I am supposed to hide my head under a rock

Rocks are cool and all. I have lots of them. The problem with your head in the sand is your ass is in the air, waiting to get hit.
That’s why participation in our government is key to your cultures survival (Their really are too many to name and I’m not talking about race here.) in The US. You might not have every thing your way but at least you know that most things are the way you like them and you made them that way or showed effort goes noticed.
Nothing ever got done by boycotting an action. You might make a point but the work won't finish itself. We are a self governing people you need the people otherwise what purpose does a role like government have. It becomes a civil responsibility to participate in the government. Peoples mentality in this nation when it comes to elections is somebody else will do it or I live in a blue state so I don’t need to vote. The same goes for republicans. But a majority of Democrats think someone else will do it for them that’s why they lost. That needs to be fixed across part lines. US Citizen’s have to sit on a jury if selected. You can't be forced to vote it but some law should be put in place to reward those who do. There really is a reward for those who do. It is the election of representative officials who represents a majority. A better way should be found. Representatives these days are not as rewarding as it was when this country was still a fledgling nation. Back then people knew what it was like to personally not have representation in a government. It was still fresh in their minds. Today that is old news. Exactly 230 years old. People don't understand what it was like back then (living under British rule). I’m not saying it was a good time in the beginning it was hard and slow much like it is now. But in this time people see it as a fault in their accelerated lives, you have internet, cell phones, faster travel, and more education in their pocket, people want faster every thing but government is still trucking at the same pace it started. The same thing goes for International conflicts. They want results not the means. Citizens want safety not war where sons and daughters die. These wishes are unrealistic, life requires patience. For Americans we haven’t been around long enough for an “American” culture to develop. Our culture is one where we are not a melting pot. Because we are not communists. Life isn’t equal it can’t be other wise there would be no incentive. Incentive is how your life carries out. You care for your self above all. Don’t you.

With more accurate representation in government (hand outs and/or wishes laid on false pretences won’t) society will cure it self because the truth is people in society give power to others that best represent their interests.

First blog

What do you know bloging is easy. I might get the hang of this. So what's in the news today. Their was that railway bombing in Bombay. I suspect al-Qaida dug their dirty little fingers on that. Al-queida sees Democracy in Asia as a threat. The same goes for liberals in the media. Day in day out they and I mean the "Drive-by-media"(as Rush limbaugh so eloquently put it) portray negative side affects of the War on Terror. Our armed service men know what I’m talking about. Because they see the great things we are doing for a nation that could never had dreamed of the freedoms we enjoy. I'm not saying men died for another nation. They died because of a threat. Just like we did in Japan after WW2. We established a new democracy and probably one of the most successful financially. Other than our own nation and England. These liberties we enjoy we owe it all to them. We are on the offensive in this Global conflict. The liberals are cutting with our losses and running. they are out of touch with reality. You can't just... drop it like it's hot cause we will get burned by other nations. the fledging gov't in Iraq doesn't have enough power to establish confident control. Hell we have large amounts of troops in Germany and that happen 50 years ago. They aren’t dying but you get my point. If we leave Iraq we are leaving the region destabilized. That’s what happened after Gulf War 1. I think this is enough for my first blog. There will be more to come.
I’m signing off, Good day!
